Understanding the FFL Data Format
Mii QR codes contain binary data in the FFL (Face Library) format. This format stores the Mii's facial features, body type, name, and permission flags. The permission flags at offset 0x04 control whether the Mii can be copied, shared, or edited. Our tool modifies these specific bytes while preserving all other Mii data intact.

Why can't I edit a Mii I scanned from a QR code?
When a Mii is created on a Nintendo console, the creator can set permissions that prevent other users from copying, sharing, or editing the Mii. These permissions are stored as binary flags in the Mii's FFL data. Our tool modifies these flags to grant full editing access.
Is it safe to unlock Mii QR codes?
Yes. Our tool only modifies the permission flags in the Mii's binary data. It does not alter the Mii's appearance, name, or any other attributes. The modified QR code will scan normally on your Nintendo console.
Why does my console camera fail to read the unlocked QR code?
